Memorial Day in Milwaukee

Nothing kicks off the start of Summer like Memorial Day weekend to remember & honor those who have served our country. From parades & ceremonies to ball games & BBQ’s, Memorial Day is always a busy weekend filled with celebrations and activities!

We’ve put together a list of events taking place throughout Milwaukee this holiday weekend to help make your planning a little easier. Get the family together and plan a weekend filled with activities that everyone will enjoy!

Milwaukee's 154th Memorial Day Parade

Starts promptly at 2pm

Starts at the corner of Fourth St. and Wisconsin Ave.

The parade runs east on Wisconsin Ave. to the War Memorial Center where there will be a wreath-laying ceremony.

The Milwaukee Metropolitan Community Concert Band will perform a concert at 4 p.m.

Wood Cemetery Ceremony

The ceremony begins at 9:25 a.m.

Brewers Game

Take the family out to the ball game! The Milwaukee Brewers take on the Phillies on Friday, May 25th & Saturday, May 26th at Miller Park

Kohl’s Color Wheels at Family Kite Fly Festival

“Kohl’s Color Wheels is the Milwaukee Art Museum’s off-site studio program that offers art activities, free of charge, at events throughout the community year round. Visit the Kohl’s Color wheel team at the 32nd annual Wilde Subaru Family Kite Festival this Memorial Day Weekend! Make a kite to fly with the grand launch of 600 kites at noon.”

The Wilde Subaru Family Kite Festival

“On Saturday, May 25th, and Sunday May 26th, The Kite Society of Wisconsin & Illinois and Gift of Wings are presenting the The Wilde Subaru Family Kite Festival, 32 Years in Veterans Park, a Milwaukee County park, on Milwaukee’s lakefront. The event will begin at 10:00 am, through 6:00 pm, (5 pm Sunday) with the GRAND LAUNCH of 600+ kites at NOON!”
