Countless memories have been made within these walls over the past 90 years. Throughout this anniversary year we will be sharing some of the stories and photos that we have been fortunate enough to collect throughout the years. Our guests surprise us often with photos, receipts, invitations and menus that they have saved from their special events at the hotel. They generously allow us to scan them and graciously have given us permission to share them.
Today we are thrilled to share the wedding photos of Mr. & Mrs. Van Buskirk who celebrated their wedding at the Ambassador Hotel in 1961. Their wedding reception took place in what is now the Fitz's dining room. Mrs. Van Buskirk shared photos, invitations, receipts, newspaper clippings and more with us! We also were lucky enough to help them celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in 2011 here at the hotel. They graciously took the time to sit down with us and share some of their memories on video back in 2011 as we were planning their 50th anniversary party together.
