Valentine's Day Weekend in MKE

It's Valentine's Day! It's the time of year when we take extra care to show our loved ones how much we love them. No matter what your relationship status is, we all have someone to share some love with. We've put together some ideas for how to spend time with the person you love most this weekend...or people you love most if you want to spend time with friends or family! Milwaukee has so much to offer...it's hard to choose what to do!

For the Couple Looking for Romance...

A Romantic Overnight Experience...

We have to suggest our "Love is in the Air" overnight package! It has everything you need to spoil your love. We've thought of everything! Our overnight package includes one dozen red roses, chocolate covered strawberries, champagne and dinner for two in The Fitz. If you really want to make the night special reserve one of our luxurious whirlpool suites! Can't celebrate on the actual holiday? We understand! It is available Thursday, February 14th through Saturday, February 16th! Make your overnight reservations HERE. Make your dinner reservations HERE.

Romancing the Stars...

What could be more romantic than star gazing with your love? How about dinner and gazing at the stars? The Milwaukee Public Museum's Daniel M. Soref Planetarium presents a special two-evening run of the Valentine's show Romancing the Stars. Couples can embark on an out-of-this-world date at the Planetarium, complete with a romantic tour of the universe and a look at which star clusters are actually "constellations of love." A red rose and box of chocolates will be given to each couple. The show is available Thursday the 14th and Friday the 15th. Find out more information and buy tickets HERE.

For the Theater Lover...

How about dinner and a show? Treat your love to our Valentine's Day Dinner at The Fitz!

Leave your vehicle parked for free here at the hotel and take our complimentary shuttle to and from the show! Our shuttle services anywhere in the downtown Milwaukee area so no matter what theater you choose to see a show at - we've got you covered! Save money, avoid the hassle of parking and skip the long walk to the theater doors.

Milwaukee's theater scene is phenomenal. We are so fortunate to have so many choices! We scoured the theater schedules to out together a list of what shows are being performed this weekend!

Marcus Center for the Performing Arts

BONUS! Make dinner reservations at The Fitz and tell us you are interested in our "Dinner and a Show" special. When you make a reservation for dinner you will be given access to discount tickets for any show at the Marcus Center! You will also receive a free bottle of house wine when you show us your tickets to any show at the Marcus Center! This offer is always available and is not exclusive to Valentine's Day weekend!

The weekend "The Fiddler on the Roof" will be performed on

Thursday the 14th, Friday the 15th,

Saturday the 16th and Sunday the 17th. Learn more about the show and view show times HERE.

Have little ones to show some love? Take them to see "Roald Dahl's Matilda"! It is playing at The Marcus Center's Todd Wehr theater Friday the 15th, Saturday the 16th, and Sunday the 17th. It is a performance by First Stage Milwaukee and is a cast of children! Learn more about the show and view show times HERE.

The Milwaukee Repertory Theater

This weekend there are three shows playing at the Milwaukee Rep!

"Junk" will be performed Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Inspired by the real junk bond kings of the day, it’s a battleground of titanic egos, where magnates are pitted against workers, lawyers against journalists, and everyone against themselves. Learn more and purchase tickets HERE.

"The Chinese Lady" will be performed Thursday, Friday Saturday and Sunday. In 1834, Afong Moy was brought from Beijing to America and put on display as the “Chinese Lady.”Over the next several decades, she performed in a side show that both defined and challenged her own view of herself as she witnessed stunning transformation in the US. Inspired by the true story of America’s first female Chinese immigrant, playwright Lloyd Suh unearths hidden history and questions the way we look at ourselves and others. Learn more and purchase tickets HERE.

"Mark Twain's River of Song" has scheduled shows Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well. From the iron red water in Minnesota to the deep, dark Southern Delta, the river carries the stories and songs of the people. Come take a ride on the Mississippi— guided by the voices of the men and women who lived and worked on the river, tied together with the observations and insights of the Mississippi’s most famous traveler, Mark Twain. For Families...

In our opinion, Valentine's Day isn't just for romance. Valentine's Day is for making memories and showing the most important people in your life how much you love them. Even though we should be saying "I love you" every day, there's just something magical about taking the time to make it "extra special" on Valentine's Day. Making memories as a family is one of the best ways to say, "I love you". Here are a few ideas that the whole family can enjoy this weekend...

Disney on Ice

Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic, the monumental ice skating spectacular, is coming to Fiserv Forum from Feb. 14-17, 2019. Tickets for the performances at Milwaukee’s new world-class arena will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, Oct. 30, and can be purchased HERE.

Milwaukee Public Museum

Spend a day together strolling the streets of Old Milwaukee, surrounded by butterflies or exploring the rain forest! The Milwaukee Public Museum offers three floors to explore. Spending a day at the museum is a cherished pastime for many Milwaukee area residents. Pass on the tradition to your family and make some memories! Find our more information and purchase tickets HERE.

Betty Brinn Children's Museum

The Betty Brinn Children's Museum offers hands-on learning through play and exploration. Children can pretend to work at the market, drive a bus or an ambulance, work at a bank or the post office, make music, put on a play and more! Stop by the Museum’s Be A Maker space to tinker with tools, build something out of unique materials, experiment with technology, and more! Think it's just for kids? Adults can release their inner child and explore alongside the kids. What better way to make memories than to play together? Find out more and purchase tickets HERE.

No matter what your preferred way to spend the holiday together is, there is plenty to choose from in MKE. Now go out there, show some love and make some memories!

Happy Valentine's Day!
